   Proposal Description:
   The majority of AD cases, the Late-Onset Alzheimer???s Disease (LOAD), have been found to correlate with genetic factors, with high heritability of up to 58-79. Many SNP-associated case-control studies have revealed that some SNPs influence the processing of AD through interacting with important grouping factors, such as sex, age and APOE ??4 status. Whereas, many recent AD-associated GWAS studies also revealed that the significant or approximately significant SNPs among the subgroups are largely different. Thus, different signaling pathways and biological processes may be involved in the processing of AD of different subgroups. Therefore, we planned to conduct a GWAS meta analysis based on these grouping factors to identify new SNPs interacting with them and validate previously found grouping factor-interacting SNPs. Moreover, enrichment analysis and gene ontology (GO) analysis will be applied to verify whether different signaling pathways and biological processes exist among different subgroups in a systems biology view. These works will provide us with new points of view that          influence the different phenotypes between different subgroups.
